Another enjoyable stay at Barn Owl Cottage. Excellent cottage and location. The weather has been so kind and some of the sunsets have been spectacular. Lots of Typhoon activity at RAF Coningsby. Would recommend the woodland walks at Tattershall Carr, the snowdrops are worth a look. Have seen plenty of wildlife activity despite it being winter.

Our break at Barn Owl has ticked all the boxes for exactly what was needed. It is extremely cosy and peaceful. The ever-changing skyline through the kitchen window has been captivating. For once we didn’t venture out too much. We had fantastic walks with the dogs from the door, watching wildlife and discovering remnants of an old railway line. Thanks to Karen for the excellent communications and to meet Malcolm, who was so welcoming and provided such interesting historical local info. We look forward to coming back.

Cottage is everything we wanted for our week away. The welcome pack was lovely, especially the Plum bread. Highly recommend Snipe Dales country park, about 15 minutes drive from the cottage. We also spent a day at Cleethorpes beach. Great stay, lovely location, will definitely return.

Loved our stay at Barn Owl Cottage. Excellent location and the cottage was so clean and well equipped. The garden is the best enclosed garden we have had so far. The welcome pack much appreciated and we are definite converts to Lincolnshire Plum Bread. Beaches at Wolla Bank and Chapel Six Marshes are good for dog walking.

We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The dogs have enjoyed the freedom of the enclosed gardens and the amazing walks at Ostlers Plantation. We were lucky enough to see the practice runs of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight including the Lancaster, in readiness for the May Day event in London. Perfect holiday.

We enjoyed days out with the dogs at Woodhall Spa and Ostlers Plantation, Gunby Hall, RSPB Frampton Marsh. The abundance of wildlife in the area never ceases to delight us.

Everytime we stay here we see different wildlife. This time it was three deer passing by, and as ever we see the owl in the early morning. The log burner really gives the cottage a cosy feeling, especially on Christmas Day. We always look forward to coming here and will be back in 2025.

Thank you Karen and Malcolm for a lovely relaxing time. So peaceful and tranquil with the log burner on. We have enjoyed going to Horncastle and Woodhall Spa. We got some binoculars and watched the deer and birds of prey. Excited to come visit again.

Thanks for the welcome pack, lovely. Cottage one of the best. Nice walks with our dog to Tattershall and Coningsby and Ostlers Plantation, Woodhall Spa. Snipe Dales Country Park also very good as well as Hubbards Hill at Louth. The Aviation Museum at East Kirkby is well worth a visit. Fantastic to see the Lancaster taxi down the runway.

Another wonderful stay in the little slice of heaven. More fast jet spotting over at Coningsby and plenty of time to relax and just be peaceful. The BBMF Visitor Centre is a must if you are an aviation enthusiast and the many little local shops are well stocked and have lovely staff. A thousand thank you's!

We have loved every minute here. We found the Leagate Inn and Royal Oak, Mareham served great food and were dog friendly. We used the dog walk book and loved Ostlers Plantation with it’s WWII history, and Bourne woods. Sandilands – 11 miles of sandy deserted dog friendly beach never disappoints. Our highlight was the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, well worth spending the day (dog friendly).

Thank you so much Karen, Malcolm and George for providing us with the perfect retreat from the fireworks. It was our first visit to Barn Owl Cottage and we were amazed at how at home we felt from the second we arrived. It was just like a second home. We have only visited this area for the day before and have been surprised at how much there is to do and visit. Loved Anderby Creek and found a lovely coffee shop on the way back. We had meals at the Leagate Inn and Royal Oak who both made us very welcome. Looking forward to a return visit.

First of all a big thank you for the lovely welcome pack, it was much appreciated. We had a lovely stay at Barn Owl Cottage, everything we needed was here. The weather was great for October and we had many walks with our dog. The information was vast and we found it very helpful to plan our days out. We went to Kirkby Moor, Woodhall Spa and Saltfleetby Dunes beach. The cottage is cosy to come back to in the evenings and we have enjoyed our stay.

Another amazing week at Barn Owl cottage. We have enjoyed watching the wildlife, seeing a fox, birds of prey and the gorgeous barn owl. We visited the Battle of Britain, Mountain Abbey Farm Shop, and the bakery at the Woodhall Spa is highly recommended. We have really enjoyed the walks, so peaceful and relaxing. Can’t wait to come back in August.
